How to play Top Word
- Objective: Form a valid English word on the board using whichever path you prefer to maximize your score, placing the available letters.
- How to play: Select the tile where you want to start and tap one of the available letters. Then place the rest of the letters in a similar way on adjacent tiles highlighted in blue. Once your word is formed, tap Validate to check if it is valid and calculate its score. If it is correct, you can tap Confirm to finish the game or make changes if you wish. If it is not correct, the system will alert you so you can make the necessary corrections. Verb conjugations and plurals are allowed.
- Scoring: Each letter has a base value shown on its tile that is added to the total. If a letter is placed on a multiplier tile, its individual value is increased by the indicated factor. There are tiles that multiply the value of a single letter (x2, x3, or x4) and others that multiply the value of the entire word (x2 WORD).
- Strategy: Analyze the board from the start and try to place higher-value letters on multiplier tiles. Pay close attention to word multipliers; often, a short word with high-value letters yields more points than a long one made of common letters.
